DRS Supported Living
When being away from home isn’t an option, we offer ‘supported living’ to adults with mental health needs and/or learning disability. This ensures that people get the support they need, in the environment that works best for them.
Our supported living options are a fantastic way for people to feel a level of independence without feeling completely isolated and alone. Benefits include:
- The ability to feel independent with the security of nearby support when needed
A support plan built around the individual needs and limitations of each individual
24-hour support if required
Fully furnished accommodation
The opportunity to build confidence with day-to-day tasks, developing future independence
A safe ‘middle ground’ between residential care and living alone independently
Support to manage tenancy
Supported living is an opportunity for hugely talented people to express themselves in an environment that works for them. At DRS, we understand that people are often not ready for this step when they first come to us. Our goal has always been to work with people to reach this stage wherever possible.
We are very proud to have been able to step down countless people from residential care, into their own homes. Sadly, this is not possible for everyone, but we will continue to work tirelessly to make it a reality for people.
Please contact us if you feel you could benefit from supported living accommodation.
