DRS Care Home was the finalist in 3 different categories in the Housing with Care Award, which took place on Friday 9th of June 2023 at the Marriott Hotel. The awards were hosted by BBC1 Homes Under The Hammer presenter, Martin Robert.

The categories for the finalist was:

  1. The Housing with Care Employer Award – DRS Care Home – This award recognises an employer who has invested in their building, service and their employees to offer quality housing. Judge will be looking for an exceptional employer who demonstrates and inspires vision and collaboration.
  2. The Housing Manager Award ( Robin Thakooree )- This award recognised an outstanding on site-Manager who has responsibility for both the building and the care service delivered on site.
  3. The housing Innovation Award ( Robin Thakooree ) – This award recognised outstanding innovative approach to best meet the needs of residents in through improvement relating to residents’ wellbeing and innovation that changed the face of supported housing.
